Saturday, March 14, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

This respite activity is designed to provide a fun, supervised environment for individuals with disabilities to engage with their community and enjoy a memorable wildlife experience. 

Event Highlights

  • Wildlife Encounters: Enjoy three hours of supervised fun exploring the sanctuary, home to majestic lions, birds, and tortoises.

  • Lunch Included: Each participant receives a lunch consisting of a choice of sandwich (turkey, ham, or chicken salad made with almonds & pineapple on either ancient grain bun, croissant, or wheat wrap with lettuce and tomato), chips, a pickle, a cookie, and bottled water.

  • Souvenir: Take home a special Lion Habitat Ranch magnet to remember the day.

  • Accessible Fun: The facility offers wheelchair-accessible entrances and parking. 

Registration & Pricing

  • DRC Vouchers: This event is covered for individuals with a Desert Regional Center (DRC) voucher.

  • General Admission (No Voucher):

    • $60: Includes admission, supervised activities, full lunch, and the souvenir magnet.

    • $50: Includes admission and supervised activities only (no lunch or magnet).
