Join The Arc of Nevada for our online training, Seat at the Table Leadership Series: Navigating the Nevada Interim. This session is designed to pull back the curtain on the legislative process and give you the tools to advocate effectively during the most influential time of the year

The training will be held from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM via Teams.

While many people focus on the biennial legislative sessions, the Interim is where the real groundwork is laid. During this training, we will dive deep into the importance of the Nevada Interim Committees and how they shape the future of disability policy. By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

• Explain exactly what the "Interim" is and how it functions.

• Identify how long the Interim session lasts and where it fits in the legislative calendar.

• Articulate why the Interim is the most critical time for self-advocates to build relationships with lawmakers.

To help us measure the impact of our advocacy training and ensure we are meeting your needs, participants are requested to complete a brief pre-test and post-test to determine their increase in legislative knowledge.
